Unearthed Wooden Shjips ATP-NY '08
Looking ahead towards WFMU's live on-air festivities at the 3rd-annual All Tomorrow's Parties NY-edition (Sept 3-5), I thought it'd be nice to take a listen back at the sounds heard during the first couple years. And in the process, I realized that we left out two incredible songs by the inimitable Wooden Shjips. At the time, "Motorbike" and "Fallin" were previously unheard material, slated for release on the Shjips' second album Dos (Holy Mountain). Now that a couple years've gone by, Ripley & co have kindly allowed us to share these previously unearthed live recordings, which were mixed to third-eye-opening stereophonic perfection by WFMU's own Scott Williams.
