Offset Your Reality...

Daughter doodles from day care. March 30, 2009.

I have long since given up on any ambitions to become a WFMU DJ.  Time and logic continue to be enemies in that regard.  However, I can console myself through this resource by letting others know about music that excites me with every blog post and mix that I create.  For that, I want to take this moment to thank the people at WFMU who have worked so hard to make this archive a reality and for allowing the rest of us out there a space to talk about and champion the sounds that make life on earth bearable.

This mix is dedicated to all those who have a need to offset their reality.  Thank you for listening.

Hey man it's OK. I'm never going to be a WFMU DJ either.

But music is music and I dig your mix. (But Needs more DNTEL)

I'll be perfectly honest: I need to sit down with more Dntel. The INTO INFINITY loops just seemed like a great way to break up the mix.

I continue to be a student of music. Sounds like my next lesson is Dntel 101. :-)

great mix! macedonia, host of BSOTS, i would like to make you an honorary wfmu dj at least!

nice use of Into Infinity loops as kind of bumpers.

For anyone who hasn't checked out Into infinity --

http://intoinfinity.org/

-- it's a very cool collab between Creative Commons and Dublab where you can mix & match and loop the loops

Jason,

Thanks for the hint about the Into Infinity - I hadn't known about these . . . so when I saw a Dntel track I didn't recognize I got excited ... and then, 8 seconds later, not so excited.

Macdeonia - I agree with Jason on this the use of these as bumpers is fancy.
